4: cars on the road drive really fast
had to walk about an hour with a whole bunch of groceries

Hey Love.. you had me and my brother laughing *evil grin* we consider English quite layed back.. I guess the sidewalks and staircases are narrower here and the cars do definitely drive faster.. they do merge right here though! and when you are lost.. you find yourself a sign telling you: "you are here" with a little arrow!
Sounds like you;re having fun.. was kinda like me in HAwaii the first year! Do keep us up to date! and enjoy the walking and the cheese!
